Introducing our next C4C2017 rider Hamish Burr, Captain of M/Y Rahal.

Having been part of the superyacht industry since the age of 17, Hamish has committed his life to two Owners and would not change a thing. Now at the age of 42 and the father of 2 beautiful children he feels blessed about what he has achieved, but it has not come without sacrifice. His life has revolved around giving 100% to anything he puts himself to. Being able to represent Cogs 4 Cancer twice in the past has given Hamish an endurance challenge like no other. Waking up after consistently completing 150Km rides day after day is a challenge, let alone the sitting down part!

His sponsors this year are the amazing Ultimate Yacht Refinishing paint company based in Antibes, who year on year help maintain Rahal’s Exterior paint system. His second sponsors are the Company Shore Support whom Hamish tells us have been supporting Rahal since her launch in 2003 with shore-side logistics and are without doubt one of the best go to Yacht agents in the South Of France.

Hamish says “My advice for anyone that has not enjoyed being part of a charity ride/run or event, try it! They are highly rewarding, and remember live life and don’t take life too seriously, it’s not like your going to make it out alive!”
